Migdal Netzach Help Center

Migdal launched a new program, the Netzach center, in September 2022. This extremely important initiative is vital for people who remained in Odesa since the beginning of the war, as well as for the influx of refugees from all over Ukraine who moved and  keep moving to Odesa. We have hundreds of refugees now, including families with children from Mykolaiv and Odesa regions, Cherson, Mariupol, and many others.

The Netzach center provides assistance with food, clothes, education, and most importantly,  professional psychotherapy. Our core mission is to help adults and children to deal with horrible war inflicted mental traumas. We have the best clinical psychologists working with all who need  urgent and immediate mental help.

Migdal’s volunteers are in constant communication with all refugees. They monitor everything to make sure everyone who needs help can get it. Our team is integrating all refugees into Odesa’s Jewish community to make sure that they don’t feel lonely and isolated. Many of these  people who just lost their homes are being welcomed and cared for now.

We make sure that refugees socialize, get to know others, and form their new social circles to ensure a smooth integration process. Many people “become alive again” from being completely depressed from the severe trauma they went through and start visibly recovering during this process.

Many of those who come to the Netzach center have chronic panic and anxiety attacks. People who have disabled children live in constant fear. When they hear the sound of sirens, it is very difficult for them to quickly move to safety with children who can’t behave themselves adequately under the circumstances. Sometimes it is completely impossible for them to move anywhere, so we also provide care to families with disabled children as well.

The Netzach center will be also incorporating different types of therapy, including art, music, photography, and other types of therapy as well. This unique program requires ongoing funding. The more funds we will be able to raise, the more people we will be able to help.
