Migdal International Center for Jewish Community Programs

Migdal International Center for Jewish Community Programs is a unique Jewish non-profit organization. Migdal offers numerous services to the Jewish Community of Odesa, Ukraine as well as conducts cultural and educational exchanges with Jewish Communities worldwide through exhibits, seminars, conferences, festivals, and many other programs. We conducted many exchange programs with communities from Israel, USA, Austria, Germany, England, and others. Yiddishkeit is at the heart of all of the Migdal’s programs.

For all visitors, including all age groups, we offer classes in Jewish education, tradition, Jewish history, literature, Hebrew language, and Jewish art and design. Professional dance and choreography classes are taught in “Rikudei Am”, classical and modern sections. Music school, vocal groups, chorus and music ensemble, theatrical groups of all ages, computer and English language classes, cinema club, aerobics, children’s clubs, and chess studio are all part of our special and diverse programming.

All classes are taught by high level professionals, who open the doors for all members to realize themselves in various spheres and to become a powerful driving force and invaluable potential of the community. Migdal’s favorite programs include family and children retreats, Shabbatons on wheels, Jewish holidays celebrations, festivals and concerts, conferences, excursions and tours, and many others.

Since the beginning of the pandemic our international exchanges have expanded much further. The total number of online meetings with international participants during the peak of the pandemic reached more than 8,000. Moreover, Migdal has become a major hub for vital social services and emergency help for people from all parts of Ukraine since the beginning of the war in Ukraine that started on February 24, 2022. Jewish communities from the USA, Israel and Europe extended their helping hand in these times of crisis to make sure that Migdal continues its work.
