We proudly support our sister company, the Migdal International Center for Jewish Community Programs in Odesa, Ukraine. Together, we stand even stronger now during these extremely difficult times.
As we look back on our journey, we are very grateful to our diverse, multicultural, and international community of friends and supporters from the United States, Israel, Germany, England, France, and other countries. It is remarkable how the Migdal organization, which began more than 34 years ago from the Jewish musical theater Migdal Or, has grown and transformed over the years.
We want to especially thank all our donors who continue helping us during the ongoing war in Ukraine. Their support allows us to sustain Jewish life, continue Jewish education, preserve and promote Jewish culture, history, and heritage, respond to crises, and provide care to the most vulnerable.
Dr. Viktor Boiko — our lifelong friend, great supporter, and committed donor — shared with us through SoulTalk why he believes Migdal is so important, unique, and special. He also explained why it is even more vital to support Migdal during the ongoing war in Ukraine, and what he wishes for Migdal after the war ends. Many years ago, Dr. Boiko participated in Migdal’s programs. He remembers them fondly and carries wonderful memories from that time. Today, in addition to his engineering career, he teaches sciences at CUNY. In his own words:
“Migdal does tremendous work for the community, and everyone in Migdal does it exceptionally well. It is not just a workplace for the people who serve there — it is their life. They strive to make every element, every program, every class, and every day as meaningful and well-prepared as possible. Anyone who has ever been part of Migdal will keep it in their heart for the rest of their life. Migdal deserves support because it brings light and joy into the lives of individuals and the entire community.”

“Migdal is a place where people seek survival — not only in a physical sense, but even more importantly, psychological. It helps people remember what joy feels like, even when the world around them is filled with uncertainty and fear. They offer programs for children, adults, and seniors, so that every person can find something inspiring and engaging.”
“I wish good health and happiness to everyone in Migdal. I wish that Migdal has generous funding so that all new and wonderful ideas can be brought to life. I wish for Migdal to have the freedom to make the community happier with even more creative opportunities and resources.”
Anniversaries are a time for reflection and gratitude. We are deeply moved by the generosity of our supporters and their belief in our mission. Whether you have been with us since day one or just joined the cause, you are part of our story and our future.
Thank you for standing with us. Here’s to the next chapter — together.
