From 5 to 12 of July Migdal JCC ran traditional summer family retreat. A peculiar feature of the event was involvement of volunteers in their activities. The total number of volunteers that were involved in retreat a was 32. The number included participants of Migdal JCC programs including AJT members. The volunteers at the retreats and Shabbaton were involved in running most of the activities, some of the activities were designed and implemented solely by the volunteers. The retreats’ themes and activities are “Geography of Genius” – Jewish history from the moment of beginning of Hasidism and till our days: discoveries and genius Jews that could be found throughout the world; what promoted these discoveries and appearance of such personalities from the point of view of Judaism and Hasidism.
Age range of participants – young families with little kids till middle age parents.
