Migdal International was a co-sponsor of Chanukah in Odessa conducted by JCC “Migdal”.  Various of different holidays for kids and grown-ups that lasted for more than a week.  Chanukah candles and doughnuts, presents and lots of surprises waited for those who attended all entertainment events.

Celebrating Rosh ha-Shana, Yom-Kippur and Sukkot in JCC Migdal, Odessa was made possible partly with the help of Migdal International Society.  Many people that never go to the synagogue were able to celebrate Fall Holiday in community center.

Migdal JCC Summer family retreat “Halom-13” was partly sponsored by Migdal International Society Inc. This family retreat was attended by more than 120 people from 1 year to 50 from Ukraine, Germany and USA. It took place near the Black sea for a week and gave wonderful push to further work of JCC “Migdal”.

As the winter came close coal for heating system in Jewish community center “Migdal”, Odessa, Ukraine was purchased that made possible attendance and work of the center.

Prior to Rosh ha-Shana in Odessa JCC “Migdal” the whole water and heat system in the building and also repairs of lavatory rooms happened. Such major repairs in basement and drainage strengthened the whole building and give an opportunity for normal functioning of the Center itself.

Journalistic book-album “Jewish postcards” from a private collection of A. A. Drozdovsky was published in Odessa, Ukraine in summer of 2009. This book is now highly appreciated and used by professionals and amateurs.
